[owen] Free Speech at stake?

June,

You say, "Obama did not seek to stifle the expression of opinions with
which he disagreed", except that is exactly what his campaign is doing.
The NRA is expressing it's opinion, bought radio time, and the obama
campaign sends letters to the station threatening their FCC license.

Free speech is grounded in having wrong opinions. It is my right to
express my opinion whether or not it is factually accurate or not.
Apparently if your opinion is different than what the obama campaign
wants, you get threatened....imagine if it was an obama administration.

Lets apply that standard to 4 years ago when CBS ran a fraudulent story
about bush's TANG service. If memory serves correct, the bush campaign
didn't threaten CBS and their affiliates with losing their FCC
license...nor did bush encourage the DOJ to go after dan rather and his
producers. However, by your logic and your defense of the first
amendment, he should have.

This is why my opinion about liberals and freedom of speech is as it
is. I don't want those for me, or against me to hush. I want their
ignorance exposed completely so that people can make up their mind.

I wonder what pundits will be allowed to say and express under an obama
administration...apparently nothing against the messiah, and we all must
mold to the "facts" as the messiah deems at his choosing. Scary notion
if you ask me.

It will be an interesting 4 years if the messiah is elected..that is for
sure.
