The first part of this blog talks about readmissions. In my reading of the bill on readmissions, I feel they are trying to cut the loophole in Medicare. Get admitted to the hospital, the hospital files a claim, gets paid, send you home for few days, you come back to hospital, get readmitted and we file another claim, so we get paid twice.
The blog talks about the government setting what the hospital can charge. The government already does this with Medicare DRG's.
Not sure how I feel about the wealthy paying more. I would prefer a flat income tax, no deductions, then everyone pays same percentage. I feel there would be more revenue.
I am on page 370 of bill, more to go.
